I. Snow Plowing A. Snow plowing will occur during and after snow events and will remove snow from the main parking lot (approximately 2 acres), as well as all fire lanes, dumpster access paths and emergency escape routes on the side of the building. Snow plowing portion of our service completed before 6:30am. In the event of a morning or afternoon snow fall we will require plowing once 2" of accumulation exists. Additionally, we are a 24/7 operation and plowing may be required, upon request, at any time of the day or night. There will be no limit on the number of times plowed; the contract will cover the entire snowfall season. B. All walkways and any fire exits will be cleared of snow. C. In the event of a snowfall of >12" in a 24-hour period we may need Emergency Snow Removal Equipment. The use of this equipment will be authorized by the customer. II. Salting A. Salting will occur with plowing and by request. Approximately 2 tons of salt will be applied to the main parking lot, walkways, fire lanes, delivery routes and non-parking paved areas. We will also require salt for walkways to entry/exit doors. The exact amount of salt used per application is TBD but will most likely not exceed 2 tons. B. Salting may also be needed during non-snow events. C. Additionally, we are a 24/7 operation and salting may be required, upon request, at any time of the day or night. III. Snow Removal A. Snow removal may be required upon request. Snow removal usually occurs when large snow pile build-ups become dangerous or impedes parking and traffic flows. B. Upon snow removal the snow will be removed from effected areas and placed in dump trucks and moved off site or to an agreed upon area on-site. Upon the following terms: 1. Scope of Snow Plowing: See above depending on service. 2. Scope of De-icing: De-icing materials will be applied to driveway/ parking lot, walkway, stairway and handicapped access ramp areas as needed as well as when requested. 3. Turf Repair. In the event that the Contractor damages any turf by snow plowing, the Contractor will re-seed the damaged turf in the spring season during the snow and ice maintenance program season in which the turf damage occurred. 4. Property Damage. The Property Owner will report, in writing, any property damage caused by the Contractor within 48 hours. The Contractor will repair any timely and properly reported property damage in the spring season during the snow and ice management program season in which the property damage occurred. 5. Limitation of Liability: The Contractor will exercise reasonable care to avoid damage to pavement, curbs, trees and shrubs
