Amtrak is seeking a contractor to respond to snow or ice conditions as required during the fall and winter season, at Amtrak Sunnyside Yard Mechanical Facility, 39-29 Honeywell Street, Long Island City, NY 11101. Contractor to plow snow accumulations in agreed-upon physical areas, including main parking lot, parking lot at facility entrance, main driveway into facility (39th Street ramp entrance), 41st Street entrance, Queens Blvd. steps, platforms between 1 thru 37 tracks, areas around wheel track, wheel tru, engine house and High-Speed Rail Building, area around Building No.8 and the Commissary Building. Contractor is responsible for maintaining a suitable level of road salt and ice melt on hand to handle expected occurrences. Must respond within 2 hours of being called. Facility operates 24 hours, 7 days a week.
