Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Term The District is soliciting the services of qualified security firms to provide security officer services for the eleven (11) month period commencing on or about Thursday, August 1, 2024 through on or about June 27, 2025, or the last day students are in attendance. At the discretion of the District, these services may be renewed for four (4) additional years (July through June, 2025- 2026, 2026-2027, 2027-2028, and 2028-2029). B. Scope of Work to be Performed The firm shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, incidentals, duties and services of every kind necessary for proper security officer services. The firm shall pay all fees, provide all uniforms (list of minimum uniform requirements will be discussed with successful bidder), incur all expenses and secure all permits and certifications necessary to complete the work in every respect. The District reserves the right to require participation of security officers in training deemed appropriate. Uniforms and photo identification of guards must be visible at all times. The scope of the work includes, but is not limited to the following: • Security officer services are needed when students are present. The 2024-25 school calendar is attached as Appendix B. When the District is not in session due to weather or other emergency conditions, security officers are not required. • The number of security officers and their time requirement will be as follows: Two to Three (2-3) daytime security officers at 8 hours each for a total of 32 hours per day, Monday through Friday when schools are in session. The approximate times for security services during the day shift will be 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (8.5 hours total exclusive of a one-half hour lunch). Two of which are supervisors for their buildings. o One (1) evening security officers at 7 hours, Monday through Friday, when schools are in session. The approximate times for security services during the evening shift will be 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (7 hours total with no meal period). o Optional, one (1) Saturday security officer at 6 hours per day between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (6.0 hours total with no meal period). o Time requirements are subject to change based on the District's needs. • Substitute Coverage: The firm must provide substitute coverage when one of the firm's officers has been approved for a scheduled leave
