NFTA and NFTM is seeking proposals for the procurement,delivery and training of a Transit Bus Recovery Vehicle. The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) operates transit buses in Western New York State, and at times such transit vehicles need to be towed or recovered. The vehicle intended to perform this work will primarily tow a bus from the front using a wheel lift and may occasionally tow an existing bus from the rear. A rear tow point will be required if an existing bus is towed from the rear. The vehicle necessary for this work is described in this specification and must be configured to lift, support, and move transit buses.
