The DOB coordinates all building inspection functions. Inspections include reviewing certificates of occupancy for compliance with applicable state and federal laws and other applicable city code provisions. These services primarily include an initial inspection and a follow-up.
Fire safety and property maintenance inspections are required to evaluate critical life safety systems. This includes, but is not limited to fire extinguishers, fire alarms, fire suppression systems, means of egress, fire-resistant construction, signage and lighting.
Any required building inspection services primarily include comprehensive field inspections in accordance with the adopted codes and standards for site improvements and building construction of projects from start to finish.
