BACKGROUND
Tompkins County Administration is responsible for providing language translation services to departments within the Tompkins County Organization, including the translation of content on the tompkinscountyny.gov website in accordance with the Language Access & Language Assistance Policy (01-45). County Administration uses a localization platform (translation management software) and translation services to accomplish accurate translation of content on behalf of the organization. Content translated is typically available to the general public.

PURPOSE OF REQUEST
In order to make content, primarily on the website, from Tompkins County accessible to members of the public who use a primary language other than English, Tompkins county will procure a localization platform vendor that provides translation management and translation services.
