There will be a Pre-Bid Walk Through on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Gedney Park baseball fields located at 155 Millwood Rd, Chappaqua, NY 10514. Bidders are urged to attend the pre-bid walk through. Knowledge of the project is crucial to obtain a proper understanding of the Work. Please reference Section N – Article 224 of the Special Conditions section. It is strongly encouraged that all attendees maintain social distancing and wear appropriate face coverings.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the Town Clerk of the Town of New Castle on behalf of the Town of New Castle until 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at which time the bids will be publicly opened at the Town Hall, 200 South Greeley Avenue, Chappaqua, New York, 10514, for the proposed “Wood Timber Retaining Wall & Staircase Replacement Project at Gedney Park”. Four (4) copies of the bids must be placed into a sealed in opaque envelopes addressed to the Town Clerk at the above address, and shall be labeled as “Wood Timber Retaining Wall & Staircase Replacement Project at Gedney Park”.
Each Bidder must furnish, with their bid, Bid Security in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the bid. This security may be in the form of a certified check payable to the “Town of New Castle”, a bid bond, or cash. If a contract award is made, the Bidder to whom the contract is awarded to will be required to furnish 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds from an acceptable surety company in the total amount of the awarded contract, in the form included in the Specifications and Bid/Contract Documents. Please note that a Maintenance Bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the total amount of the bid will be required for a period of two (2) years.
