Notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of North Salem will receive sealed bids for a parcel of real property located at 461 Route 22, North Salem, New York, and which is known as Parcel ID 554000-039-000-01356-000-0140. Said parcel is 1.12 acres or 48,787 sq. ft. The zoning is R-1 Residential One Family.
Said parcel is improved with an unsafe, falling down structure. It is a requirement of this Bid that the successful bidder demolish and remove said structure from the premises and restore the grounds to a presentable condition within ninety (90) days of closing title to the property. A guarantee bond to be held by the Town requiring the above in the amount of Twenty Thousand ($20,000.00) Dollars shall be required to be posted at the closing to be returned to the successful bidder upon acceptance of the work to be completed.
The Town’s ownership of this parcel is the result of an In Rem Foreclosure Proceeding brought in Supreme Court, Westchester County under Index No. 1496-2020.
Said parcel is being sold “As Is” and subject to Permissive Referendum.
Bids shall be received in the Town Clerk’s Office located at 266 June Road, North Salem, New York, no later than October 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at which time said bids shall be opened and read aloud. The Town Board reserves the right to reject all bids for any reason.
The minimum upset price is One Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand ($155,000.00) Dollars.
