The Town of Rotterdam is seeking bids from qualified bidder to grind, remove and dispose of leaves, brush, tree limbs and parts, wood, clippings and other yard waste which is stockpiled at the Town of Rotterdam Compost Transfer Facility, located at 23 West Campbell Road, Rotterdam, NY 12306. Some of the said material stored on the site may be contained in biodegradable paper bags. All material on the site is to be ground on site, removed from the site and properly disposed of by the bidder. The successful bidder is responsible to provide all equipment and tools necessary to accomplish the work including, but not limited to, suitable grinding apparatus and trucks. The bidder is solely responsible for transporting all equipment required to perform the work to and from the place at which the work is to be performed. No additional transportation charges, set up or breakdown fees will be allowed. All equipment used by the bidder must be in good operating condition and in full compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations in effect at the time of the contract. All equipment used by the bidder in performance of the work under this contract must be equipped with all devices, safety or otherwise, as may be required by law. The bidder has complete responsibility to furnish all fuel, maintenance and repairs for all of the equipment furnished and used by the bidder to perform the work. In no event shall the town be responsible for any mechanical breakdown of or damage to the bidder’s equipment. The bidder is solely responsible for on-site safety during all operations under this contract and will furnish bidder’s personnel with required safety equipment.
