Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder, addressed to Village Clerk, Village of Pleasantville, 80 Wheeler Avenue, Pleasantville, New York 10570 and labeled “for VOP Contract No. 2024-08 “On-Call Electrical Services (Various Locations)”.
Bids shall be made on the forms furnished with the Bid Documents. As a Bid security, each Bid
shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total amount of the base Bid, payable to the Village of Pleasantville. Bidders who submit certified checks must accompany them with a Consent of Surety from a recognized Bonding Company. The Bid security shall be held by Village as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and bonds to secure the faithful performance thereof. Attention of Bidders is called to the requirements as to the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded will be required to
furnish performance and payment bonds from an acceptable surety company in the form annexed hereto in the total amount of the Contract.
The Village of Pleasantville reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to award the contract to other than the lowest Bidder if deemed in the best interest of the Village to do so.
