NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village of Pleasantville (VOP) (i.e. “Village) shall receive sealed Bids for VOP Contract No. 2024-02 “Village Pool Reconstruction (RE-BID)”. Bids shall be received at the Office of the Village Clerk, Room 306, Village of Pleasantville, 80 Wheeler Avenue, Pleasantville, NY 10570 until 12:00PM prevailing local time on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at which time immediately thereafter the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the said office.

No Bids will be received or considered after the time stated above.

Complete Bid/Contract Documents (i.e. Project Specifications, Drawings, etc.) shall be obtained via “BidNet” (www.Bidnetdirect.com) on or after Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

The Village of Pleasantville is seeking to execute an agreement for a Public Works Contract to complete the site improvements from approximately August 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025.

Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder, addressed to Village Clerk, Village of Pleasantville, 80 Wheeler Avenue, Pleasantville, New York 10570 and labeled “VOP Contract No. 2024-02 – “Village Pool Reconstruction (RE-BID)”.

Bids shall be made on the forms furnished with the Bid Documents. As a Bid security, each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total amount of the base Bid, payable to the Village of Pleasantville. Bidders who submit certified checks must accompany them with a Consent of Surety from a recognized Bonding Company. The Bid security shall be held by Village as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and bonds to secure the faithful performance thereof. Attention of Bidders is called to the requirements as to the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds from an acceptable surety company in the form annexed hereto in the total amount of the Contract.

The Village of Pleasantville reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to award the contract to other than the lowest Bidder if deemed in the best interest of the Village to do so.
