RFB-WC 56-22 - FURNISH & INSTALL NEW WATERLINE & HYDRANT AT THE CHARLES R. WOOD PARK & FESTIVAL

DESCRIPTION:  It is the intent of these specifications to enter into a contract to furnish and install a new 4-inch diameter HDPE waterline and hydrant at the Charles R. Wood Park (CRW Park) and Festival Space in Lake George, New York.  All work performed shall conform to the NYSDOT Standard Specifications for Construction and Materials, current edition (Standard Specifications), NYSDOT Standard Sheets and these specifications.  All provisions of the Standard Specifications shall apply unless otherwise modified herein.

SCOPE OF WORK:  The work shall generally include, but not be limited to:

• Furnish and install 4” diameter HDPE SDR 9 waterline and associated fittings to tie into existing 4” diameter PVC water service
• Furnish and install hydrant, including appropriate reducer, gate valve, valve box and thrust block
• Hydrostatic testing and disinfection of new waterline
• Disposal (off site) of all unsuitable excavated materials
• Restoration of all disturbed areas to preconstruction conditions
• Work zone traffic control for pedestrians
