RFP-WC 23-13 - Storm Water Sampling, Testing & Reporting

Summary of Specifications:
The Warren County Department of Public Works (DPW) is progressing the Beach Road (CR 51/6) Reconstruction Project in the Village and Town of Lake George, New York. The project consists of a full-depth reconstruction of 0.75 miles of Beach Road from Canada Street (US 9) to West Brook Road (CR 69) and from Cedar Lane to East Shore Drive (NY 9L). 

As part of the road project, an experimental full-depth porous asphalt paved roadway is being installed in order to provide an innovative and effective solution to prevent roadway contaminants in storm water runoff from entering the waters of Lake George. Although porous asphalt pavement applications are becoming more prevalent in parking lot and low traffic roadways as a storm water management practice, there is limited data regarding the life-cycle performance of a full-depth porous asphalt highway. The intent of this request for proposals is to select the most highly qualified engineering or environmental testing firm to conduct storm water sampling, testing and reporting for the experimental full-depth porous pavement roadway for a seven (7) year evaluation period in accordance with the requirements herein.
