RFB-PortCement WC 7-05 - WC 7-05 - TRUCK MIX PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE

Summary of Specifications:
It is the intent of these specifications to describe Portland Cement Concrete quality and 28 day compressive strength as may be required to meet the various needs of the County of Warren and its municipal subdivisions. The bidder is informed of the importance of time and continuity in the delivery of the concrete. The bidder must guarantee the orderly delivery of concrete at a minimum rate of 15 C.Y. per one (1) hour period at the site for a total period of four (4) hours. It is mutually understood that orders for concrete at the above rate will be placed at least 24 hours in advance of delivery. The County may wish to order concrete at a specified delivery time, in which case the County will place the order at least 48 hours in advance of desired delivery time. All of the requirements of Section 501 - Portland Cement Concrete - General, of the New York State Department of Transportation "Standard Specifications" of January 2, 2002 and addenda shall apply including all of the applicable subdivisions and cross referenced items therein. Except that sub-division E Recording of Batching of Section 501-3.03 Handling, Measuring and Batching is waived where it is found that the Contractor does not possess the necessary recording equipment. The quantity shall be the number of cubic yards of concrete delivered at the site of work in accordance with orders and these specifications and receipted for by the County foreman in charge.
