ITB-14-206 - Paratransit Cab Services in the City of Yonkers

Summary of Specifications:
The County, through its Department of Public Works And Transportation, currently funds and operates Bee-Line ParaTransit, which is its ParaTransit service legally mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”). This service provides mobility and access to disabled riders within Westchester County. Under the County Taxi Pilot Program (a/k/a “Bee-Line Cab”), the County is seeking to provide taxis as an alternative ride source for eligible Bee-Line ParaTransit passengers with rides originating within the City of Yonkers (“City”) and ending no further than the destinations beyond the City limits specified in the Yonkers taxi zone map included herein and the locations of Bronxville vicinity per zone map affiliated with contract. The Taxi Operator (“Operator”) will provide County-subsidized taxicab trips for eligible Bee-Line ParaTransit passengers. The purpose of this bid solicitation is to obtain prices from Operators for these rides. The Operator must be authorized by the City of Yonkers to operate and provide taxicab services within the City and must currently provide taxicab services in the Yonkers area.
