The City of Jacksonville is seeking Request for Bids (RFB) for the one-time purchase of Pea Stone. The City of Jacksonville will be awarding the Purchase Order (PO) to one (1) bidder. The standard of award is the lowest cost, responsible, responsive bidder whose bid is most advantageous to the City.
The selected bidder would be responsible for the shipping and delivering of the Pea Stone to: City of Jacksonville, Transportation Services, 1300 N. Marine Blvd, Jacksonville, NC 28540. No deliveries after 2 p.m. and call 910-750-1565 before arrival. The selected bidder must provide a bid with the specifications listed below for the Pea Stone.
The required size of Pea Stones must be between ½” to 1”.
The amount of Pea Stone must be 165 Tons.
Must have the ability to send samples as they may be requested.
The color of the Pea Stone must consist of a mixture of grey, white, red, tan, and brown. Please refer to the picture in the RFP in reference to what The City is asking for.
Bidders may submit their bid either as a hard copy or digitally as long as the due date and time requirements are met. Bids are to remain valid 60 days after receipt of bids. If the Bid is submitted digitally, no hard copies will need to be submitted. If submitting digitally, the Bidder may wish to use the email receipt confirmation to confirm delivery of the bid.
Bids are due by 5:00 PM (EST) on August 4, 2023, either via email to jasonsmith@jacksonvillenc.gov or by mail. If a Bidder chooses to submit a hardcopy of their bid, the hard copy shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope/box marked: “Pea Stone”. The address to mail in the bid is: City of Jacksonville, Jacksonville Recreation and Parks, Attn: Jason Smith, 815 New Bridge St, PO Box 128, Jacksonville, NC 28541. Any bid that is submitted after the time stated will be considered non-responsive and will not be considered.
There will be no pre-bid meeting. Questions about this bid must be submitted via email until 5:00 PM on July 19, 2023. Questions received after this time will not be answered. Questions received will be answered through issuance of an addendum by 5:00 PM July 24, 2023. Individual meetings with Bidders will not be held due to personnel workload.
