Sealed Bids from qualified Bidders for the construction of Western Blvd and Carolina Forest Blvd Intersection Improvements shall be enclosed in sealed envelope marked “Request for Bid Western Blvd and Carolina Forest Blvd Intersection Improvements” delivered to: City of Jacksonville, Attn: Chris Coursey, P. O. Box 128, Jacksonville, NC 28541-0128, packages are due by 2:00 PM (EST) on March 14, 2025.
Description: The project consists of, but is not limited to, intersection improvements at Carolina Forest Blvd and Western Blvd to include signal upgrade to install a right-turn overlap phase for westbound Western Boulevard at Carolina Forest Boulevard along with pedestrian signalization, sidewalk/curb ramp and crosswalk improvements to three (3) legs of the intersection.
The responsibility for submitting bids (including all documents requested herein) is solely and strictly that of the bidder. The CITY is not responsible for delays in the delivery of the mail or delays caused by any other occurrence. Bids received after the time for closing will not be considered.
The BIDDING DOCUMENTS may be examined and/or obtained at the Transportation Department at Jacksonville Station located at 1300 N. Marine Blvd, Jacksonville, NC 28540. Persons requesting shipment of documents shall bear the additional, non-refundable cost of shipment.
The Jacksonville City Council reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which appear to be in the Owner's best interest.
