The City of Jacksonville is soliciting proposals for a GPS Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) System (The System) for its fixed-route bus system.
Jacksonville Transit’s AVL and monitoring goals include a reliable, scalable system supporting a current fixed-route bus system consisting of four
(4) City Routes, one (1) Express Route and sixteen (16) vehicles viewable from both an Administrative Platform and a customer-facing app/interface
reflecting routes over a map with real time updates on the location of the buses.

- RFP Release Date/Advertisement November 4, 2022
- Deadline for Questions/Clarifications November 18, 2022
- Issue Response to Questions/Clarifications November 23, 2022
- Proposals due to the City of Jacksonville December 5, 2022
- Interview w/ selection team (if needed) December 15, 2022
- Approval of Award by the City of Jacksonville January 2023
- Commencement of Service February 2023
Questions & Clarifications
All requests for clarifications and questions associated with this RFP must be made by email to rbredahl@jacksonvillenc.gov no later than 5:00 PM, November 18, 2022.
No questions or requests for clarification will be accepted by any other means or after the designated due date/time. Responses to questions and requests for clarification
will occur via a posted Addenda.
Submittal of Proposals
All proposals shall be submitted no later than 5:00 PM EST on December 5, 2022. Proposals may be sent to one of the following addresses.
