Introduction
The City of Jacksonville is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from Architectural Firms to perform professional services including preparation of design drawings, specifications and bid documents for the
construction of a new Fire Station. The selected Firm shall provide or subcontract all surveying, site design, and all internal system design (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, communications, etc.).
The Firm will also be responsible for obtaining all federal, state, and local permits necessary to construct this facility.
The City constructed a Fire Station within the last five years and would prefer to utilize a similar floor plan, bay layout and exterior appearance. The selected Firm should be prepared to have this project ready for bid
within 120 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
Receipt of Qualifications
Statement of qualifications should be submitted to Randa Soules, Project Manager, City of Jacksonville 815 New Bridge Street Jacksonville, NC 28540, no later than 3:00 p.m. EST Thursday January 20, 2022.
The submittal package should be clearly marked: “Statement of Qualifications City of Jacksonville – Fire Station #4 Design Services” and clearly identify the firm submitting the proposal. (6) six hard copies and (1) one
electronic copy should be submitted. All inquiries regarding this Request for Qualifications should be sent to Randa Soules via email at rsoules@jacksonvillenc.gov no later than 3:00 PM EST on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
