Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the purpose and intent of this proposal to secure services for aerial insecticide applications in the state of North Carolina for the Gypsy Moth (Lymantria dispar). The Contractor will be required to provide the aircraft, insecticide, equipment, personnel, and other operational requirements necessary for a properly prepared and executed aerial insecticide application as outlined in this proposal. The Contractor will secure properly certified and approved aircraft, dispersal systems, approved insecticide, service facilities, qualified ground personnel, and FAA certified and qualified pilots capable of making a proper aerial application of insecticide. An accurate and uniform application of insecticide to specified tree-covered areas is essential to achieve the desired effect of foliage protection from defoliating insects.
