The following major tasks are expected to be included in the final scope: A. Review current city land use regulations, policies, and general ordinances pertaining to parking and consider any prior studies or efforts; B. Evaluate existing conditions and the built-environment relative to public parking; C. Solicit and receive input from property and business owners, residents, city officials, and the public on current and anticipated parking needs; D. Develop a strategy that contains both short (1-4 years) and long-term (5-10 years) recommendations to: 1. update or amend parking-oriented codes and policies; 2. promote the use of existing underutilized parking areas; 3. increase access to public parking; 4. ensure adequacy of parking spaces accessible to people with disabilities; and 5. locate sufficient public electrical vehicle (EV) charging spaces for anticipated increase in EV use. E. Prepare and present a final report detailing findings and conclusions.
