The purpose and intent of the Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified firms to provide services in support of the development of the Durham Bus Rapid Transit Vision Plan. Durham County will lead this study to develop a vision plan for quick and reliable bus service within, to, from, and through Durham County. The Vision Plan will include the identification of long-range projects for the 2055 Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (DCHC MPO) Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), the update of projects in the 2023 Durham County Transit Plan, and the potential identification of future Federal Transit Administration (FTA) applications. Durham County will conduct this study in close partnership with the City of Durham, DCHC MPO, and GoTriangle.
