Specifications include, but are not limited to: Design and deliver professional learning experiences for school leadership meetings aligned to the newly adopted WCPSS Learning Model. The focus is on co-designing and providing targeted professional learning for principals, assistant principals, and district instructional leaders for our School Leadership Meetings. Proposals should address the following Strands designed to deepen the work of the Strategic Plan, align the learning model, and create a focus on subgroups of students: Strands Overview 1. Advanced Learning Strand o Professional learning in this strand equips leaders with tools and strategies to support gifted, talented, and academically advanced students. o Emphasizes principal leadership in fostering environments that challenge, and nurture gifted and academically advanced students. o Focuses on curriculum enrichment, talent development strategies, and enhancing intellectual growth and academic excellence. 2. Language Development Strand o Professional learning provides leaders with specialized training to support ESL programming and multilingual learners effectively. o Emphasizes developing robust language acquisition programs, literacy enhancement strategies, and teaching methods for diverse language needs. 3. Special Education Services o Professional learning enhances the capabilities of leaders working with special education students. o Focuses on integrating and optimizing educational practices, adaptive learning environments, individualized instruction, and assistive technologies.
