The new facility will house the following operational needs: Fire Station #1 (+/- 28,000 SF) • Three-company Battalion • Five bays • Hot, warm, and green zones • Individual shower rooms • EMT conference/study room • Kitchen/Breakroom • Sleeping quarters Back-up Emergency 911 Center (+/- 10,000SF) • Communications Hub • Conference Room • Open Workspace for 35 operators and 5 administrative staff • Kitchen/Breakroom Fire Administration Headquarters (+/-12,000 SF) • Office accommodations for 50 staff including 10 privates offices • Kitchen/Breakroom • Conference rooms • Reception/waiting area Building and site programming assumptions: • Incorporation of green stormwater infrastructure • LEED silver standards • Rail Corridor coordination/communication • Station Signalization 4.2 Facility #2: Raleigh Police Department, Evidence Facility A New Raleigh Police Department Evidence Facility is to be located southeast of the intersection at Battle Bridge Road and Griffice Mill Road – Raleigh, NC 27610. The new facility is planned to be approximately 30,000 SF to meet operational needs for intake, processing, and securing evidence. Additionally, secured weather protection storage and storage yards are programmed at approximately 25,000 SF. The project budget is approximately $35M.The facility and site must be secured and monitored at all times.
