Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County of Moore, NC is soliciting Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified firms for the purpose of evaluating the County’s long term water sources. Moore County is growing which is placing stress on the water supplies. Additional water source(s) are needed in the near future. Background Information The Moore County Public Department currently operates 11 water systems as follows: ➢ 03-63-045 Vass ➢ 03-63-103 Hyland Hills ➢ 03-63-108 Pinehurst ➢ 03-63-117 Seven Lakes ➢ 03-63-152 The Carolina ➢ 03-63-153 Addor ➢ 03-63-155 Robbins ➢ 50-63-011 East Moore Water District ➢ 50-63-021 High Falls ➢ 50-63-023 West Moore ➢ 50-63-024 Hidden Lakes The following five systems are interconnected and share water sources: ➢ East Moore Water District ➢ MCPU- Vass ➢ MCPU- Hyland Hills ➢ MCPU- Pinehurst ➢ MCPU-Seven Lakes The study will examine these 5 systems. Services Requested The Water Resources Study will be in the format of a Preliminary Engineering Report which may subsequently be used by the County to apply for funding. The scope of the study will include the evaluation of a new water source in the Deep River and identify other alternatives. Additional work to complete the application, such as the Environmental Assessment, will be presented in a subsequent study
