2.1. Detailed Specifications The selected vendor(s) must meet the following specifications: The Town of Mooresville is looking for vendors to install equipment in Police and Fire vehicles that meets NFPA and our standards. The vendor will need to wire the equipment with our standard colors and in the location that we set forth in our standard. The wiring must be neat and secured properly, routed in the correct paths, easily identified, labeled, and the proper length. All wiring must have weather tight connectors. The grounds must be fastened on battery or a good ground source that doesn’t interfere with the factory harness or circuits. All wires and connectors must be able to carry 125% of the max load applied on the wires per NFPA Standards. Unless agree upon, the light pattern will be our standard pattern for the type of unit being worked on. Installers shop must be within 60 miles or one hour drive from 2523 Charlotte Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28117 or provide the transporting of vehicles to and from the Town to the installer shop at no cost to the Town. Customer service after the sale is crucial to maintaining business with the Town. The wiring between components shall be made into a harness and not ran as an assortment of loose wires. The wiring harness must be run neatly and secured in the designated areas of the vehicle so that it doesn’t interfere with other components of the vehicle. Each wire must be labeled and color coded for location of specific Light head. Also Includes soldering of all connections. Fuse box for all aftermarket components needs to be mounted in console. The vehicle should be wired the meet NFPA Standard for Emergency vehicles which included each wire must carry 125% of the max load. Certification needed. Axon certified installer. Motorola radio installer. Sound off installer.
