Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Provider shall be responsible for all efforts and material necessary to furnish all Food Services for the Guilford County inmates and staff at the Detention Facilities outlined in the proposal. The Provider shall furnish nutritious, wholesome, and palatable foods meeting all current nutritional standards for the National Sherriff’s Association (N.S.A.) requirements, State of North Carolina Regulations, the American Correctional Association and all current nutritional standards (required daily allowance). Meal sections must be dietician approved. Three meals per day shall be provided to each inmate and two snacks to pregnant inmates. Two meals shall be provided per day for Guilford County Detention Office staff. Breakfast is served already trayed up and given to each individual officer that requests it between 04:30 and 05:00 hours. Staff lunch meals will be put on the serving buffet line served by an employee of the Provider. Lunch meals will be served between 11:00 and 15:00 hours. The line is to be replenished and the dining room wiped down as needed. There is no dinner meal provided for staff.
