Specifications include, but are not limited to: The North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) seeks confidential proposals to identify and assess opportunities to increase value-added processing of commodities produced in the state and address categorical or geographical gaps in agricultural manufacturing and processing. This identification and assessment shall inform the North Carolina Agricultural Manufacturing and Processing Initiative (“NCAMPI”). The identification and analysis shall include, but not be limited to, the following: • Analysis of categories of agriculture products that lack access to North Carolina processing and other value-added facilities • Analysis of fit for value-added facilities across various North Carolina regions • Evaluation of gaps in food processing and value-added processes • Specific content related to the dairy industry • Recommendations for the efficient and effective deployment of resources to maximize return to NC farmers and growers
