Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Vendor will supply in a timely manner a sufficient quantity of all required and recommended textbooks, supplemental classroom materials and aids, including electronic devices, laptops, tablets, and disks. b. Vendor will furnish a wide selection of current trade along with academic and technical literature in support of academic disciplines at HCC. c. Vendor will provide timely response to special order literature and other instructional materials. d. Vendor shall maintain price levels competitive with other online college bookstores. e. Vendor shall maintain HCC online Store with online hours of operation of twenty-four (24) hours per day for twelve (12) month per year. f. The Vendor shall have the exclusive right, free from any alternate source endorsed, licensed or otherwise approved or supported by HCC (whether on campus, by catalog or through electronic commerce, including hyperlinks to alternate sources) to buy, sell, rent and distribute (including the right to select vendors) merchandise and services traditionally offered in college and university bookstores, including but not limited to, all required course materials (print and digital), class and alumni rings and jewelry, clothing (whether or not emblematic), school supplies, desk and dorm accessories, gifts, souvenirs, graduation regalia (sale and rental) and announcements, course adopted software and paper, electronic custom anthologies, and textbook buybacks. The vendor shall also have right of first refusal to fulfill any distance learning instructional and ancillary materials required by HCC during the term of this Agreement. This section does not prohibit occasional sales by student groups, student government organizations, or othercollege personnel that do not materially impact the online store sales of HCC.g. Vendor will provide an interactive, easy to navigate, website with an electronic ordering system to enable students, HCC employees, alumni, and friends of HCC to purchase books and goods online. h. Vendor shall offer a significant selection of HCC insignia wearing apparel and memorabilia. i. Vendor shall participate in the academic, cultural, and social environment of HCC. The bookstore should actively enforce its image as a partner in the academic enterprise. j. Vendor will ensure that all book and store related deliveries occur at the appropriate location.
