• Serve as designated insurance broker of record for Cape Fear Community College Optional Benefits Programs. (NN) • Licensed to provide brokerage services within the state of North Carolina. (NN) • Perform market research for new carriers and negotiate all insurance renewals, including cost/benefit analysis to ensure provider’s offerings are in the best interest of the College and its employees. (NN) • Assisting with implementation/transitioning with insurance providers. (NN) • Not a subsidiary of any insurance company or affiliated with a third-party administrative agency, or provider network. (NN) • Demonstrated community college experience (no less than five years) in providing benefits consulting\brokerage services for employers with at least 500-1000 benefit eligible employees. (NN) • Data Management: Support transfer of data between provider and college systems, analyze claims and utilization cost drivers, provide annual analysis of program and plan design competitiveness, prepare and present reports, including but not limited to, dependent age-out, open enrollment, benefit changes, new hire participation, terminations, and billing reports by benefit offering. (NN) • Mobile application (NN) • Provide electronic and printed customized benefit brochures/booklets at no additional cost. (NN) • Ability to deliver flat files that match our import requirements. (NN) • Portal services for enrolled employees as well as Benefit Administrators. (NN) • Ability to invoice separately for 9-month and 12-month employees. (NN) • Administrative customer support, not limited to, assisting with claims and billing issues. (NN) • Plan Compliance: Monitor federal/state regulations; recommend strategies for compliance with new/pending regulations; and assist in implementing regulatory changes to ensure compliance (as needed). (NN) • Doctors licensed to practice in North Carolina. (NN) • Life insurance providers will grandfather current participants’ current coverage. • Provide Open Enrollment support, including, but not limited to, developing timeline, development of Open Enrollment materials, and coordinating and participating in Open Enrollment meetings and day of, on-site, in person participation in Open Enrollment. (NN) • Identify your invoicing structure, terms, and customer support strategies, develop key financial and operational metrics to measure success and risk to College’s Optional Benefits Program. Assist in multi-year Optional Benefit strategy with the College based on short- and long-term objectives. (NN) • Integration ability to ERP systems & reporting. (NN) • Implementation timeline.
