Specifications include, but are not limited to: • The medical provider must maintain and provide proof of current license to practice and have access to a computer and internet services, utilize a WCPSS email address, and access and upload documents within Google Drive or One Drive. • Each month, the medical provider will be notified that the physician authorization report is ready to be processed and where to locate the report in the Google Drive or One Drive. • Vendor will log into the on-line IEP system to review pertinent information about the special education services listed on the report. • Within 2 weeks, vendor will sign and date each page of the report and upload the final version into Google Drive or One Drive, alerting the Director or Senior Director of Related Services that the physician authorization is complete for that month. Laws governing Medicaid reimbursement require a medical professional to review the records (IEPs) of a random sampling of students to determine if the services are medically necessary. Each month, the district runs the Physician Authorization report (random list of students), shares it electronically, and the medical provider signs and dates each page of the report. The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is seeking a provider to assist with these services.
