Specifications include, but are not limited to: NC State University’s Environmental Health and Public Safety (hereafter referred to as University) seeks proposals from qualified suppliers to provide unarmed security services on the NC State University campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. The awarded supplier shall provide one walking security officer to provide security patrol services, building facility/lockup, and security checks on the University’s North Campus, between the hours of 7:00 PM and 3:00 AM, seven (7) days per week, when the university is open and classes are in session. On the days of Monday through Friday, this security officer will perform building facility lock-up during assigned patrol hours. A map showing North Campus may be viewed at: https://maps.ncsu.edu/#/. In addition to this officer, other individual departments and units within the University may request other security officers for various assignments. The supplier will notify the University Police Department when an individual department or unit requests additional security services. The supplier shall provide additional security officers at the current rate charged for the permanent officer, given that these requests are permanent, regularly scheduled officers. An example of this type of assignment would be an individual department or college requesting an officer to patrol its buildings, Monday through Friday, for four (4) hours per night.
