The City of Asheville, North Carolina is seeking Statements of Qualifications for professional services as required for design and engineering services related to restoration and repair of the French Broad River parks, facilities and greenways. The City envisions a ‘team’ design approach led by a landscape architectural professional which includes, but may not be limited to architecture, civil engineering, hydraulic and stormwater engineering, historic preservation, and cost estimating. It is expected that this design and engineering effort will include the bulleted items below, as well as other design elements or features that will increase restoration and resilience on the parks, facilities and greenway system. ● Professional landscape architecture, engineering, surveying, geotechnical and architecture services ● Damage assessment cost estimating ● Full service design, cost estimating, construction documentation and bidding services. ● Construction administration services. ● Public engagement ● Environmental and Historic Preservation Considerations (EHP) ● Strict adherence to all required federal terms and conditions related to the work, including FEMA Code Policy “Consensus Based Codes, Specifications and Standards Policy FP-104-009-11”, applying to buildings, roads and bridges. ● The anticipated construction delivery method has not been determined, but may include design-bid-build, construction manager at risk, or an alternate method which adheres to Federal procurement policies.
