Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.A new P25 trunked simulcast Phase II system to replace the City/County’s current 800megahertz (MHz)trunked system.2.A new Internet Protocol (IP)-based microwave.3.New radio dispatch consoles for 36positions across four dispatch centers, including theForsyth County Emergency Services –911 Communications (8), Forsyth CountySheriff’s Office Communications (9), Winston-Salem Police and Fire Communications –911 Center(9), and Forsyth County backup center (8)and two (2)additionalpositions atthe network management center(NMC).4.The City of Winston-Salem is in the initial planning discussions to relocate the Winston-Salem Police and Fire Communications –911 Center to another yet to be determinedlocation. The current center will remain as a backup PSAP when the future relocationoccurs. For this RFP, the new center and the backup each will have nine (9)dispatchpositionsresulting inatotal of 45 radio console positions across five dispatch centers.Proposers should provide pricing to also include these additional nine (9)radio consolesin their response to the RFP.5.Mobile and portable subscriber radios for the City/County’s first responders.
