This work will include drainage studies, surveys, engineered designs, cost estimates, permitting, construction services including bidding, administration and observation, and other engineering services as needed to design and construct stormwater projects identified in the above referenced plans. The project area is the unincorporated portions of Dare County only and does not include any areas located within the municipal areas of Dare County. Dare County intends to select a qualified consultant to provide engineering services in accordance with North Carolina General Statutes. It is the intent of the County to enter into an agreement for a three (3) year period, with an option of two (2) one (1) year extensions. Dare County will be the sole partnering entity on this project. The interested firms should submit Statements of Qualifications to the following mailing address, in accordance to the instructions and guidance provided for herein, by Thursday, September 12th at 3 p.m. Each submission packet should include 1 original and 5 copies plus a flash drive with a PDF version. No electronic submissions will be accepted. Dare County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals in accordance to North Carolina General Statutes. Selection will be based on a combination of project approach, past experience in coastal communities, technical ability, and other factors.
