Specifications include, but are not limited to: 120 HP, FRONT WHEEL ASSIST TRACTOR WITH FRONT END LOADER (Case IH Puma 150 CVX, Fendt FT716, John Deere 6155R IVT or QUALIFIED EQUAL); The intent of this specification is to describe a front wheel assist tractor with front end loader and equipped with variable speed transmission. The tractor/loader will be used for summer and winter maintenance activities such as mowing highway right-of-way and loading road material, loading salt/sand mixtures into tandem axle dump trucks, and operating a variety of 3- point attachments. The tractors will be used to trim around structures in highway ditches and used with a front or rear snow blower attachment in the winter. It is for these reasons that a variable speed transmission is required. The tractor/loader shall be standard production of the latest model with standard equipment and accessories and in addition must meet all following minimum specifications: a. 6-cylinder, liquid-cooled, sleeved cylinder, turbocharged diesel, air-to-air aftercooled. Parent bore block not accepted b. Minimum 120 PTO HP ISO rated, meeting US EPA Tier IV FINAL emissions standard c. Muffler, not to impede forward view d. Replaceable, full flow oil filter element e. 120VAC Engine block heater element, O.E. any and all aftermarket heater devices must be approved by NDDOT prior to bid award. f. Extended life anti-freeze coolant, concentration to -40 degree F g. Foot throttle in addition to hand throttle h. Safety interlock start switch
