The Contractor shall be responsible for the collection, transportation, and disposal of waste/garbage and recyclable materials at designated facilities in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws. The containers provided by the Contractor shall be equipped with workable lids and doors, and be new or newly reconditioned at the start of service. The containers shall also be properly maintained and placed on level ground. Maintenance shall include: painting of containers and or removal of graffiti, properly functioning lids, properly functioning wheels on containers with such equipment, and any other preventative maintenance required to maintain containers in a condition acceptable to the agency. The Contractor is obligated to sanitize containers which shall include cleaning the interiors and deodorizing the containers at least once per week. Any compactor shall be removed from the premises and cleaned professionally as required by manufacturer, contractor, or as requested by agency.
