The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Small Businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS CONTRACT TITLE: HVAC/Refrigeration System Emergency Repair PLACE OF PERFORMANCES: VA San Diego Healthcare System 3350 La Jolla Village Dr. San Diego, CA 92161 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Base Year CONTRACT TYPE: Firm Fixed Price BACKGROUND: Damaged HVAC/Refrigeration System repair required to ensure heating ventilation, exhaust and air conditioning meets VA Patient Care standards. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The contractor will: Troubleshoot: Which includes diagnosing, tracing, and locating to identify cause of failure in a manner which minimizes impact to patient care and maintains a safe environment for all. Repairing: Arrange time/date repair minimizes impact to patient care. Perform required lock out/tag-out ensure hazardous energy is removed in preparation of the repair. Complete repair utilizing materials and parts that meet or exceed all applicable VA requirements/standard. Remove lock out/tag out in accordance with applicable safety requirements that meets or exceeds VA Requirements/Standards. Test and commission the system to ensure the repaired system is operating as designed/required to function to meet or exceed VA requirements/standards. Return the system to operation notifying all applicable units served by the equipment in accordance with all applicable VA requirements/standards. Provide training to the VA Maintenance or Engineering staff that will operate the repaired equipment. Provide documentation to include updated as built drawing, parts used and warranty information to enable VA Engineering Maintenance or staff the ability to maintain the system properly following the repair. Provide SOW for AC -100 CHW Coil: Replacing existing cooling coil with a replacement coil Factory Designed and Engineered to meet the necessary requirement for the Sterile Processing Department. Coil rack replacement for existing heating and replacement cooling coils. Remove and re-installing 60 insulated wall panels and roof. Cabinet will feature thermal brake construction and a coating that meets a 2000-hour salt spray test.
