Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Parking Lot Sweeping (1). The Contractor shall utilize truck-mounted equipment to perform parking lot sweeping services. (2). The Contractor shall perform parking lot sweeping in the following areas: a. All paved parking surfaces b. In corners c. Behind car stops d. Around trash dumpsters e. Sidewalks adjacent to and surrounding building f. Doorways g. Entry ways h. Alcoves i. In corners surrounding building; and j. Under and around trees and shrubs where pavement is adjacent to property borders. (3). Additional duties: a. Remove oil spills in the parking lot using environmentally safe oil absorbent. Absorbent shall be picked up and disposed of properly after each use. b. Manually pick up trash and debris around trash receptacles, in planters, drains, and in parking lot if unable to remove with mechanical equipment. c. Remove pine needles and any other debris from parking lot drains. d. Trash and debris shall not to be blown, swept, or moved into parking lot drains, landscape areas, plants or flowerbeds, public walkways, streets, or adjacent properties. e. All debris shall be promptly removed from the site using the Contractor’s own receptacle and not the DMV’s receptacle B. Paved Surface Pressure Washing and/or Steam Cleaning (1). The Contractor shall be required to use own water source and equipment for pressurizing and heating (if applicable) the water. (2). The Contractor shall pressure wash and/or steam clean, whichever method is most effective, to remove spills, dirt, debris, bird droppings, cobwebs, and any other stains from concrete surfaces. (3). The Contractor shall perform pressure washing at an appropriate output in pounds per square inch (PSI) so as not to damage the treated surface. (4). The Contractor shall pressure wash and/or steam clean the areas listed below: a. All sidewalks adjacent to and surrounding the building and parking lot b. Curbs c. Entry ways d. Walk ways e. Spaces around columns f. Benches g. Concrete trash bins and ash urns h. Excessive areas of bird droppings, spills and stains in the parking lot (5). Additional duties a. The Contractor shall immediately wipe off any water or cleaning solution that is sprayed onto windows, doors, glass, or surrounding areas to prevent streaking and spotting. b. Trash and debris shall not be blown, swept, pushed, or moved into landscape areas, plant and flowerbeds, public walkways, streets, or adjacent properties. c. The Contractor shall promptly remove all debris from the site using the Contractor’s own receptacle, and not the DMV’s receptacle. C. Building and Waste Bin Enclosure Pressure Washing and/or Steam Cleaning (1). DMV Project Manager and Contractor shall coordinate access to the waste bin enclosure. (2). The Contractor shall be required to use own water source and equipment for pressurizing and heating (if applicable) the water. (3). The Contractor shall pressure wash and/or steam clean, whichever method is most effective, to remove spills, dirt, debris, bird droppings, cobwebs, and any other stains from concrete surfaces. (4). The Contractor shall perform pressure washing at an appropriate output in pounds per square inch (PSI) so as not to damage the treated surface. (5). The Contractor shall pressure wash and/or steam clean the areas listed below: a. All paved surfaces adjacent to and surrounding the building and waste bin enclosure. b. Entry ways c. Walk ways d. Alcoves e. Spaces around columns f. Carports g. Overhangs h. Benches i. Concrete trash bins and ash urns j. Remove cobwebs from exterior of building, including under eaves and alcoves k. Exterior building walls l. Interior and exterior waste bin enclosure walls m. Exterior of waste bins. (6). Additional duties a. The Contractor shall immediately wipe off any water or cleaning solution that is sprayed onto windows, doors, glass, or surrounding areas to prevent streaking and spotting. b.
