The Akron Zoological Park is requesting interested firms to submit a proposal to provide construction services as a Contractor / Construction Manager-at-Risk for the Penguin Point alteration and Meso America alteration projects. The submission will include a guaranteed maximum price proposal in addition to other information that is necessary for the zoo to evaluate and make a selection. Construction budget: $ 1,899,000 Schedule: Substantial completion by 11/30/25 Architect/Engineer: Hasenstab Architects The Penguin Point alteration will be primarily mechanical upgrades. This includes LSS equipment upgrades to components that serve the penguin pool and waterfowl pond. Meso America alteration will be expanding the current snow leopard outdoor habitat to the adjacent outdoor habitat.
