Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Ohio Department of Transportation is planning to renovate two existing Outpost facilities in Belpre (Washington County) and Eaton (Preble County). Architectural/Engineering services are required for design, permitting, construction administration and other services as described in this RFQ. This project will utilize General Contracting delivery methods for construction contracts. ODOT will require limited access to these sites for operational needs during construction. These projects will be designed and managed as individual projects. The new facilities are intended to be very similar on each site and will consist of the following: DOT-200024 Belpre Outpost – 399 OH-618 Little Hocking, Ohio 45742 • Demolition of existing truck storage building, salt storage building, and two timber equipment storage buildings. • Hazardous material inspections needed for demolition • Survey of site • Geotechnical investigation of site • Evaluate existing site utilities for connection to new building - gas, electric, water and sewer • Design / Construction of new 7-bay heated truck storage building with wash bay and administration area with break room, rest room and office • Design / Construction of new 3,500-ton tension fabric salt storage building. Consider alternative design methods such as “T” wall construction. • Project Budget $3,300,000.00 DOT-200023 Eaton Outpost – 5656 US-127 Eaton, Ohio 45320 • Demolition of existing truck storage building • Hazardous material inspection needed for demolition • Survey of site • Geotechnical investigation of site • Design / Construction of new 7-bay heated truck storage building with wash bay and administration area with break room, work stations in the break room and rest room • Evaluation of existing water well and sanitary sewer system • Evaluation of existing gas and electric service for connection to new building • Project Budget $2,300,000.00
