Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), through the Divisions of Parks & Watercraft is responsible for the management of Visitor Centers, Nature Centers, and Camp Store located at various state facilities. The wooded hills and scenic valleys surrounding Dillon State Park in east central Ohio offer a picturesque setting for outdoor adventure. The area's history is tied to the story of transportation in Ohio. Water still draws visitors as the large lake offers unlimitedhorsepower boating, a marina, and several boat ramps. Other Park activities include hiking, camping, horseback riding, fishing, mountain biking, stargazing, and sledding. Professional design services are being requested to provide design and construction stage services for improvements that will enhance the visitor experience. The selected firm will utilize current master plan information to design and construct prioritized visitor enhancement projects such as a splash pad, pickleball courts, playgrounds, trail system expansion, and improved flush restroom facilities. An emphasis on inclusive design and sustainability is a priority. ODNR anticipates this project to be completed in phases. It is expected that the selected design firm will develop, in coordination with the Owner, a phased construction plan that will focus on obtaining the maximum portion of the scope that can feasibly be completed by October of 2026.
