Specifications include, but are not limited to: The mission of the Department of Development is to encourage citizens,community partners and businesses to invest in the future of our people,neighborhoods and economy. The Downtown Commercial MarketplaceProgram will support up to ten existing businesses that are relocating orexpanding to downtown Columbus in order to stimulate downtowncommercial activity. The business advisor will be responsible for assistingthe selected business to achieve financial success, measured throughprofit and loss statements through planning, counseling, and connectingbusinesses with other business development resources. The advisor willalso be responsible for reaching out to neighboring small businesses tooffer business counseling and to offer to connect the businesses tobusiness development resources.1.2.2. The City is seeking to enter into contract with one business advisor tosupport businesses in the Downtown Commercial Marketplace Program.The Consultant will be responsible for counseling businesses (bothbusinesses in the program and neighboring small businesses), advisingprogram stakeholders, reviewing applicants, assisting with the design ofleaseholder improvements, etc. The geographic area for which thebusiness advisor will be responsible will have the boundaries of thedowntown Columbus Commercial Revitalization Area (CRA), a map ofwhich will be provided at the request of the applicant
