The selected grantee will house Ohio’s Broadband & 5G Sector Partnership over the next 5 years. Eligible activities funded through the Grant are for the express purposes of implementing the strategies of the Broadband & 5G Workforce Strategy. Specific activities will need to be approved by the Department of Development in consultation with OWT. Examples of activities that the Ohio Broadband and 5G Sector Partnership Grant funding can be used towards include: Planning, developing, and executing convenings where business, education, and government collaborate on the process, development, and distribution of broadband and 5G education and workforce programs; Outreach to increase awareness and interest in education programs and careers in the broadband and 5G industry; Marketing education and career opportunities in the broadband and 5G industry; Developing online tools and technological resources; Benchmarking workforce best practices and aligning efforts with related regional, state and national initiatives; and Any additional education and workforce-related activities outlined in a proposal and approved by OWT and BroadbandOhio.
