Change the negative perceptions surrounding CTE by educating Ohioans that career tech is for all students and assist schools in communicating with their local communities about available options for students, businesses, and industries. Business, education, and community leaders should share this goal since the results benefit the entire community. This project aims to ensure schools are equipped with the resources necessary to inspire students to identify paths to future success and connect with business and industry to fill high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand jobs by: • Increasing students’ awareness of the opportunities provided by enrolling in CTE programs and the support available to meet their needs. • Increasing families’ knowledge of opportunities provided by CTE and how to access support to help their students. • Increasing business and industry awareness of the active role they can play in preparing students for a career path beyond high school and developing the local talent pipeline. • Increasing the resources available to support educators and schools in communicating the benefits of CTE. • Incorporating existing CTE branding and promotional materials in print and digital/social media formats that can be used by districts across the state. • Developing a positive awareness campaign and materials for use across the state. • Increasing the awareness of options available, through CTE, to vulnerable student populations for graduation and success beyond high school; and campaign materials that can be shared with different entities, such as Districts, Educational Service Centers, Public Broadcasting System, etc., for distribution.
