The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified firms or design teams for development and planning services to come up with a deliverable of commercially viable redevelopment alternatives to cohabitate on the site with the GCWW facilities. Given the gateway location, size of the site and the prominent water tower landmark, GCWW and DCED are interested in collaborating with the community on a feasibility study to investigate options that both complement the goals of the neighborhood plans, such as adding development to the site (housing, eatery, mixed use, etc.), public space uses or improving intersection safety. Because of the local historic landmark designation, any alterations to the towers or non-water system reuses of portions of the tower structure would require review by the City’s Historic Conservation Office
