To obtain quotes to secure a single national provider network vendor to recruit and maintain needed providers to serve Ohio’s injured workers residing out of Ohio. It is preferred that the network currently have service contracts and expertise in providing network services to workers compensation systems. Provider accessibility is the focus, utilizing a specified vendor and point of contact when a provider is needed to render care/services for an out of state injured worker. The vendor would be expected to offer a robust, established, and available network committed to meeting this need expeditiously. The vendor would provide availability and ongoing recruitment, and providers enrolled through this partnership will work within the Ohio BWC environment by following current policies and requirements for billing, documentation, and service provision. Network requests would be expected to locate a provider within 45 miles roundtrip for injured workers whenever possible or be a service that could be rendered by telemedicine as allowed by BWC. If greater than 45 miles round trip the IW may be eligible for travel expense reimbursement. BWC has nine (9) managed care organization (MCO) vendors medically managing work injury cases for Ohio’s employers.
