The Public Services Grant Program supports Cleveland’s 10 –Year Housing Plan by addressing the root causes of poverty; and by improving the quality of life for low to moderate-income residents in Cleveland neighborhoods. Eligible activities should also support Cleveland’s 10-Year Housing Plan by improving the quality of life for low-to-moderate income residents. Special consideration will be given to high impact activities of scale that impact at least one of the following conditions: Systemic Poverty – programs and services that address the root causes of poverty, alleviate the impacts of poverty and/or aligns city resources to reduce poverty through community collaborations. Youth Violence – programs and services to alleviate the impact of violence among and towards youth; and/or aligns city resources and creates community collaborations to reduce youth violence. This includes activities that build skills to succeed in school, at home, in the community and the workforce. Poverty and Accessibility Among Elderly – programs that provide access to housing, legal services, health and wellness, financial literacy and other services to improve the quality of life. Housing – invest in housing quality, increase opportunities for homeownership and wealth creation. Population Health – address inequities in quality of life, and amplify voice of vulnerable populations.
