Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) desires proposals from qualified firms to process unemployment claims. The primary purpose of this service is to process unemployment claims and ensure that the Authority is properly charged by the State for approved unemployment claims. If unemployment claims are overpaid or determinations are changed to denials, the vendor works to ensure the Authority receives credits for those overpayments. Provide a plan for staffing the work, including a management plan to control this project, and provide resumes of key personnel. The contractor will provide a program for cost administration of unemployment compensation and work to reduce our claims liability. The approximate number of unemployment claims filed is as follows: • 53 Claims processed for the year 2019 • 209 Claims processed for the year 2020 • 315 Claims processed for the year 2021 The following services will be required of the contractor: Education Services • Customized procedural manuals. • Seminars, if necessary. • Service bulletins. • Legislative updates. Claims Management • Provide timely responses on requests for separation information and requests for additional information. • Complete all necessary paperwork as requested by the State unemployment office. • Provide timely requests for reconsideration when applicable. • Describe a process that will inform and provide necessary information to our Legal Department in a timely manner with respect to pending unemployment claims hearings.
