Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide professional development in whole child design, thinking, and implementation to assist district and school administrators and educators in changing mindsets, policies, systems, and practices to be whole child oriented. Whole child design thinking broadens the education system to go beyond the focus of academics to supporting students’ holistic wellness needs including their physical and mental health, physical and social emotional safety, and ensuring each child is challenged, supported, and engaged based on their needs, interests, and developmental level. In order for students to be ready and able to learn, their whole child needs must be met first. This project is critical in developing the knowledge and skills of educators, school and district administrators and education service centers needed to provide whole child supports effectively to students.
